Greensboro Coliseum Complex Director of Ticketing named VenuesNow/Pollstar Women of Live Award Winner

Greensboro Coliseum Complex and Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts Director of Ticketing Amy Venable has been named a VenuesNow/Pollstar Women of Live award winner. The annual award celebrates the achievements of live entertainment and venue veterans, industry influencers and top-level executives.

Started by Venues Today in 2007 as Women of Influence, this year’s Women of Live honorees celebrate those who have taken the facilities industry to new heights with visionary leadership and strategic planning and innovation, while successfully bringing great gender parity to the industry.

Amy’s experience, professionalism and leadership have been instrumental to the continued success of the Coliseum Complex, as well as establishing the Tanger Center as one of the top performing arts centers in the country in just two years.”

Venable began her career at the Coliseum Complex working in the box office in 1996 before being promoted to Assistant Box Office Manager in 1999. After moving to Charlotte to work for national concert promoter Live Nation as the box office manager of its Charlotte Amphitheatre, she returned to the Greensboro in 2002 as the Coliseum’s Box Office Manager.

In her current role as Director of Ticketing, she oversees all box operations for more than 1,300 events per year at the Coliseum Complex and Tanger Center and manages more than 20,000 season ticket subscribers between the First Bank Broadway Series, Guilford College’s Bryan Series, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and UNCG Men’s Basketball. In addition, Venable has overseen the ticketing for three sold-out stadium concerts – Guns N/ Roses (2017), Billy Joel (2018) and Paul McCartney (2022) - at Wake Forest University’s Truist Field.
