Two of the top programs in women’s college basketball will take the floor on Friday, Nov. 15 as the UConn Huskies face off against the University of North Carolina Tar Heels at Greensboro Coliseum (game time is to be announced).

Tickets will go on sale Friday, Sept. 27 at Ticketmaster.com and the Greensboro Coliseum Box Office.

The UConn women’s basketball team is coming of the program’s record 23rd NCAA Final Four appearance. Led by Hall of Fame head coach Geno Auriemma in his 40th season, the Huskies will seek the program’s 12th National Championship. UConn returns superstars Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd and welcomes this year’s No. 1 recruit Sarah Strong.

The Tar Heels return four starters and seven letterwinners from a team that went 20-13 last season and reached the NCAA Tournament second round. Graduate student guard/forward Alyssa Ustby is the team’s top returning scorer and rebounder (12.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg), and last season she registered the program’s first-ever triple double. Graduate guard Lexi Donarski also averaged in double figures with 10.5 points per game, and senior center Maria Gakdeng returns with 9.2 points and a team-best 1.5 blocks per game. Tar Heel coach Courtney Banghart is entering her sixth season in Chapel Hill and her 18th as a head coach in 2024-25.
